"Grand Ages: Medieval" is a real-time empire simulation game developed by Kalypso Media. It is set in the High Middle Ages, where you lead a small settlement to greatness by exploring a vast world, gathering resources, encountering other societies, and using your trading expertise to expand and make your fortune. This game combines elements of trade, expansion, and exploration with a heavy focus on economical domination.

With over 20 million square kilometers of game world, you can strategically plot where to found important cities and defend your kingdom against foreign powers. You can produce and trade 20 different goods to meet the demands of your citizens and soldiers, research and utilize 50 major technological advancements of the Middle Ages, raise an army, and fight your opponents with knights, archers, and cavalry.

The game also features natural disasters such as storms, fires, volcanoes, droughts, earthquakes, and even the Black Death. With a challenging multiplayer mode for up to 8 players, you can rise from the humble role of a simple mayor governing a small settlement and rule over all of Europe.
